Avatar Review
“Amazing to look at. And the storytelling is never less than expert, but the yarn itself… Well, let’s start there, since Titanic director James Cameron and his team have been remarkably successful at keeping it under wraps.
The movie is set almost entirely on the planet Pandora in the year 2154. A marine, Jake Sully (Sam Worthingon) is tasked with controlling an organic (but lab-grown) avatar in the physical form of the native population, the Na’vi, a jungle tribe of tall blue bipeds with simian tails and human features. When Jake is hooked up to his avatar it’s as if he becomes him. When the avatar sleeps, Jake returns to his own body and his own people.”

If you haven’t seen this movie, do yourself a big favour by going to the movies and watching it before it leaves the cinemas which is probably soon. Avatar blew my mind, I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet but it is definitely not like ANY movie Hollywood has ever produced, that’s for sure.
Watch it in 3D, it’s really worth the money!

I didn’t like the movie because the lad called Ayaanle bought tickets to the 2D version.
The film was good, not really convinced that the 3D actually made the film even better I would have been just as happy watching it in 2D.
These technitions are geniuses. i just have to say. There are supposed to be 2 sequels from what I’ve heard. Check this video out…its behind the scenes on the set of the film Avatar and its about the art of performance capture. This revolutionary new technique is changing the way CGI characters are developed.
lol nuur. Get your eyes checked buddy. It was in 3d
Avatar is more than just a movie, it’s an experience. It is like seeing a whole new colour. Although the plot has been used many times and was kind of predictable, the execution and the effects totally made up for that. The amount of details that’s put in to the world are simply mind blowing. Do yourself a favour and watch it in 3d.
I read the ticket it said Avatar 2D and I could watch 90% of the movie with out the glasses son! In 3D you cant see the pictures without the awesome glasses
Avatar absolutely remarkable loved every minute of it, even though it’s quite long it’s worth it. It’s the most visually fantastic film I’ve ever seen, didn’t get to see it in the 3D version but the 2D was as good!
maryan u need to watch it again…3D is worth the experience after all, its not like ur everyday movie.
This movie is all about the experience as Ayaanle pointed out and it has to be watched in 3D to give a fair judgement. If Maryan was to watch the movie again I am sure she would be amazed at how different 3D is to 2D and how it raises the bar and takes the movie to a whole new level.
still need to see this movie man… sad times
Half way thought the movie i turn to the people i was with and said this film is racist bull-crap.
How is this movie racist? it gives an inside into what white people did to Africans, Native Americans, Australian Aborigines and other groups of people.
Jamal and Mohamed i know its waaaaaay better in 3D but it was fully booked so had 2 watch the 2D still i enjoyed it, enjoyed it sooooo much that i will watch it again in 3D lol, hope its still showing!
Forget that 3D experience, I av seen the movie, its great, altho I don enjoy much on sci-fi movies,
I loved Avatar. Watched the 3D version. I got proper car sick. But even with the motion sickness I LOVED it. The animation was great, the storyline was kinda pocahontas for grownups but true love prevailed in the end and I’m a sucker for happy endings.
I watched this on my 21st birthday, most exciting thing I did all day. After eating, I RAN, literally ran to get the tickets. It was the first day it was being released, so I knew chances of me getting actual tickets were pretty slim.
I reached the cinema, and the guy said it was sold out. I held my hands up in the air and said ”why God why”, I got on the phone and told another friend ”I wanna die, there are no tickets left, I just wanna die, this was all I wanted for my bday.”
The guy overheard and felt bad, so he said ”there are 6 tickets left, I’m not supposed to give them to anybody, but I’ll let you have them” I’ve never screamed so loud in my life. I proceeded to thank him a 100 times, but in the back of my mind I was like you bastard, if I didnt contemplate suicide you wouldn’t have given me the tickets.
Anyways, I LOVED IT, it was BEAUTIFUL, and I honestly wouldn’t have spent my 21st in any other way. Real talk.
Hey “Saida-Saafi”
“why God why” and “I wanna die” are words that shouldn’t come out of your mouth, maybe you should just die when you said “I wanna die”. You speak as if you are on a level with The Creator with your why why questions.
I have only seen stupid actors and actresses in the movies saying these disrespectful words, no need to copy them.
What do you mean I should just die when I say I wanna die, God knows I’m just joking.
Anyways you shouldn’t take everything you read so seriously… sheesh.. have a break have a f****ing kitkat. Look up and hear the birds singing, the sky is blue.. go worry about Haiti, and not what a stranger wrote online as a joke.
So you read a few lines I wrote, oooo you know me now.
Clap clap, and a stand ovation goes to Mr Mohamed Siiqe.
Ciao Ciao, mwah xoxox.
Maybe your jokes are defined by your knowledge and experience? maybe that is even defined by the environment that you live in? have you ever thought of that?
Do you understand what I am trying to say?
Anyway, I am not trying to take the piss or anything, I am just giving you a different viewpoint.
Sorry if I upset you and good luck with everything.
Peace.
Do you feel superior by psycho-analyzing a stranger on the net?
Is your life so empty that you search for faults in others?
Maybe your critical nature stems from inadequacies you feel within yourself?
Do you understand what I am trying to say?
Anyways, I am not trying to take the piss or anything; I am just giving you a different viewpoint.
Sorry if I upset you and good luck with everything.
Peace.
I still didn’t get a chance to see this movie and to be honest, I didn’t really feel the need to watch it.. but it sounds like it’s worth watching. So tonight it’s time for Avatar!
And you two posted above me.. grow up!
Naaa ma aniga baa ila hadlaysaa, yaa adiga sucaal ku waaydiyeee?
We didn’t ask for your opinion yeah.
Grow up kulaha, listen I went through puberty, and believe me I got enough naaso for me AND you.
Don’t try to rebuttal me, I won’t be coming back. You crack a joke here, and people come running claiming it’s ”environmental”, then others question your ‘growth.” I’m getting the vibe they give you anti-depressant pills before signing on to Qarxis or something.
Anyways, I’m out… wait I wanna die *looks around* I’m still alive beeaches.
Ciao.
No need to take a reply personal, I don’t know if you noticed but I did apologise in my last reply.
I will make sure that I’ll never bother you and good luck with everything.
Once again sorry.
Ciao.
I still think this movie sucks big time!
Ciao.
