New Qarxis vision
After a lot of discussions and brainstorming sessions in between the Qarxis team we have agreed that Qarxis.com should go a slightly different direction, a more positive and productive one, where we will create a lot of the content ourselves and by this I mean Qarxis members (like you and me). A place where everyone who is able to contribute interesting articles, researches, reports, statistics, videos, images etc. all concerning the Somali people everywhere in the world.
We areĀ asking our fellow brothers and sisters to give us a hand and help us write theseĀ original articles, conduct interviews, reports, researches, debates, surveys etc. and also share information that they have come across that concerns us as people. The content could range from an interview with a successful businessman to youth problems in a particular country or city. We could even have people sharing their life stories and how they have survived a particular event. We could also add general stuff such as product reviews, tutorials on how to prepare a certain dish and even technical advice on how to get rid of the latest web viruses? Finally all this would be neatly compiled into a Qarxis Magazine that would come out quarterly.
We have also removed all the funny videos on this website and apologise to our fellow members who contributed them, we hope that you will understand. Nothing is wrong with posting a video but it has to be new, interesting and concerning or relating to the wider Somali nation, such as this one. There are plenty of funny video sites who already house the funnies clips on the net, so no point doing the same thing all over again here on Qarxis.
What do you guys think? Could you give us a hand? everyone, please lets at least hear your thoughts or give us feeback here.

If the old Qarxis was missing one thing it was direction. There wasn’t any kind of regulation for the type of material there would be posted. As long as it wasn’t against the rules, no one could stop you from posting what you wanted. This can be good, but most of the time the outcome was poor blogs of low quality content (no offence!). Sometimes you’d see 7 “funny” blogs in a row while other times you’d see 7 copy/paste news articles concerning somalia/Islam that no one really read because they were too long and boring.
Another thing with the old Qarxis was, at times blogs barely stayed on the first page because too many blogs where posted on the same night.
I think direction, regulation and originality are some of the things that could make Qarxis a better place and hopefully the community will back that up.
Ps. You should fix an edit bottom for the comments and allow us to put our comments in paragraphs without having to use codes thanks
Thank you for your comment Ayaanle and the edit button will soon be added.
We need more feedback everyone, please.
How about a new feature which can make me espresso while I post a new blog post?

They got, a recognized award from the home office from a project they worked on and was presented by Sir Trevor Mcdonald.. I will up load that video monday..and i got a few other stuff.
