How to login on Qarxis

A lot of people have been wondering how this website operates, how to register and how to login just like the previous Qarxis.com website.

Well, with this website we took a totally different approach by integrating it with Facebook’s API and allowing people to setup accounts by simply clicking the blue “Connect with Facebook” button on the sidebar which pops up a window where users can enter their Facebook login details and press connect.

For first time users, this will setup a profile for them here on Qarxis which will download their name, link to their Facebook profile and their Facebook id, that is all. We don’t download anyone’s login details or Facebook picture. We load them from Facebook, so if someone changed their picture, Qarxis would load the new one because we don’t have it saved here and same with the login details, if someone changed their password on Facebook, they will have to login with the new password here on Qarxis since it too is not stored here. From here on, users can just login to their accounts anytime they want to and contribute content to the website, read their messages, comment on blog posts, chat to their Facebook friends, browse around etc.

This website is ultimate safe and presents no security risk, big websites such as Digg.com, CNN, Vimeo and others are all using the same technique by allowing their users to register and login with their Facebook accounts. More and more websites will have this feature and Facebook will soon be used as an underlying user-base for a lot of websites or web applications.
