The axe-wielding Somali thumbnail

As most of you know or to some degree heard about, the drawer behind the Muhammad (pbuh) cartoons, Kurt Westergaard, was on the first of January attacked by a 28-year-old Somali Muslim. Equipped with an axe, he managed to break in to the  house of the 74-year-old Dane. The Dane managed to get himself inside a safe room where he alerted the authorities. Africa Cup of Nations 2010 thumbnail

The 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, is the 27th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football championship of Africa (CAF). It is being held in Angola, where it began on 10 January 2010 and will conclude on 31 January.

In the tournament, the hosts Angola were to be joined by 15 nations who successfully advanced from the qualification process that began in October 2007 and involved 53 African national teams. The movie is set almost entirely on the planet Pandora in the year 2154. When Jake is hooked up to his avatar it’s as if he becomes him. When the avatar sleeps, Jake returns to his own body and his own people.”

And Somalia saved the day [Video]

And Somalia saved the day [Video] thumbnail

MALINDI, Kenya (AP) — People here have one thing to thank Somali pirates for: Better fishing.

“There is a lot of fish now, there is plenty of fish. There is more fish than people can actually use because the international fishermen have been scared away by the pirates,” said Athman Seif, the director of the Malindi Marine Association.
